Investigators

Investigators are primarily responsible for performing routine investigations and inspections related to the enforcement of right-of-way laws and ordinances in designated districts throughout the City of Los Angeles. Investigators are also responsible for investigating emergency complaints and claims involving personal damage or injury on the public right -of - way. Investigators routinely conduct site visits to assess whether or not violations exist at the reported locations. Investigators also assist in the preparation of legal documents against violators through the gathering of facts and evidence. Investigators may be called upon to represent the Bureau of Street Services at court hearings, vehicle impound/seizure hearings, administrative proceedings, or at City Attorney hearings.
